9 sacred temples that Thai popular to make merrit in Chiangmai.

9 is lucky number in Thailand(I think many country always same with us) 9 in Thai we says Kao and 'Kao' similar to a word 'Kao-na' that mean sucess in Thai. When people do any ceremony they always use 9 number. There are 9 secred temples in Chiangmai that Thai popular to go for make a merrit. I don't know the source why people like to go these 9 temples. But I think they like to go by the name that so good meaning in Thai word.

  2. Chiang Man Temple. It's set inside the city wall around north east. This temple in Thai mean stable.
  3. Dab Pai Temple. It's set inside the city wall around west side. This temple mean clear the bad luck
  4. Duandee Temple it's set near 3 kings statue. This temple mean lucky.
  5. Muen nguen Kong Temple.  This temple set inside the city wall around the south west. This temple mean a pile of 10000 money.

  7. Muen Lan Temple. This temple mean 10,000,000. This temple set east, inside of the city wall
  8. Loi Kro Temple. This temple mean float the bad luck. The Thai popular temple about clear bad luck ceremony.
  9. Chai Mongkol Temple.  This temple mean win and sacret, set near the Ping river.Thai popular temple about let the aminal go to make a merrit (our tredition believe about clear bad luck by let the animal go from arrest but I think it's too bad to make bad people arrest a lot of animals to sell for people whom want to make a merrit, some animal die before people buy to let it go! ) This temple set east, outside the city wall, very far from the city wall. So Thai always end 9 temple trip at this temple.
