Chiangyuen temple is the one of 9 temple that Thai people like to go for make a merit by this lucky name. They believe this temple good for make merit for long live. The temple Yuen mean R U yuen in Thai word(long live) วัดเชียงยืนเป็นหนึ่งในเก้าวัดที่คนไทยนิยมไปทำบุญเก้าวัด เพราะเป็นวัดที่มีชื่อเป็นมงคล เชื่อกันว่าทำบุญที่วัดนี้แล้วจะอายุยืนค่ะ
วิหารวัดเชียงยืน จำ ได้ว่าวันที่ไปเยือนเป็นวันเสาร์ตอนเช้าของหน้าหนาว อากาศกำลังดี ชาวบ้านมารวมตัวกันที่วัดคล้ายกับมีประชุมหรืออะไรสักอย่าง แสดงให้เห็นถึงความสำคัญของวัดซึ่งยังคงเป็นศูนย์รวมจิตใจของชาวบ้าน ไม่น่าเชื่อว่าแม้จะเป็นวัดในเมืองแต่วิถีชีวิตนี้ก็ยังมีให้เห็น น่าชื่นชมจริงๆค่ะ อาจเป็นเพราะว่าวัดนี้เป็นวัดที่มีชุมชนรายรอบ มีแม้กระทั่งโรงเรียนด้วยค่ะซึ่งหากวัดกับชาวบ้านใกล้ชิดกันก็จะมีวัดติดกับ โรงเรียนค่ะ เป็นโรงเรียนเทศบาล ชื่อว่าโรงเรียนเทศบาลวัดเชียงยืน ด้วยความที่มีเยือนวัดนี้วันเสาร์ก็เลยมีที่จอดรถแต่วันธรรมดาไม่แน่ค่ะ Vihan Wat Chiangyuen I remember I was visited there in the morning of cold season. There are people gathered there for meeting or do some activities. This thing can show that the temple is the spirit centre of people in this village. It’s unbelievable about city temple that still have old tradition as country temple. Maybe because of this temple set in the centre of the village. They also has a school next to temple name ‘Tessaban wat chaingyuen school’ means Municipality of wat Chiangyuen school. I’m not sure about parking lot will free in official day ‘cos I visited in Saturday that is our official holiday.
โชคดีที่เขาเปิดวิหารเพราะชาวบ้านกำลังจะมาประชุมก็เลยมีโอกาสเห็นภายในวิหารวัดเชียงยืน พระ ประธานสวยมาก แต่เสียที่แสงไม่ค่อยพอค่ะ วัดนี้ยังอนุรักษ์จารีตเก่าของล้านนาโดยวางแท่นไม้แบบเก่าแทนที่จะใช้โต๊ะ หมู่บูชาแบบภาคกลาง ส่วนการอธิบายเรื่องนี้ได้อธิบายไปแล้วในบทความอื่นในเว็บ หาอ่านได้ในบลอคค่ะ I’m lucky that today they open Vihan that I can see inside there. In the official day I’m not sure they open for tourist or not. But that day people come for meeting so I could get inside there. It’s a pity that not enough light. But I can see they still reserve the old tradition by don’t use the table instead of wooden sign (see more explain in my last content in this blog)
เสาหน้าวิหารวัดเชียงยืนเขียนด้วยลายคำ เป็น เสาคู่หน้าวิหาร เสานี้เคยสวยงามด้วยลายคำแต่วันนี้กลับเลือนหายไปตามกาลเวลา โชคดีที่ฉันพอจะเก็บภาพร่องรอยความสวยงามของลวดลายไว้ได้ และหวังว่าสักวันพวกเขาจะบูรณะให้สวยเหมือนลายเดิม
The pair of pillars in front of Vihan. This pillar use to beautiful with Lai-come painting but today almost lost with time. Lucky me I can collect some of this picture and hope someday they will want to restored as the same .

วิหาร วัดเชียงยืน การใช้ลายคำตกแต่งไม้ในวิหาร ถึงแม้จะเก่าแต่ก็ยังดูสวยงามโชคดีที่วันนี้ได้มาถ่ายภาพเก็บไว้ หากวันใดกาลเวลาผ่านไปผู้ที่จะบูรณะก็ยังพอทราบลวดลายดั้งเดิมของวิหารว่า เป็นอย่างไร และก็ได้แต่หวังว่าพวกเขาคงจะไม่ลบลายเดิมแล้วเขียนลายใหม่แทนที่อย่างที่ นิยมทำกัน chiangyuen Vihan use Laicome painting for decorated every piece of wooden structure. Someday only hope they will restored by use the same painting not delete it and put the new one instead because of this painting so beautiful.

ซุ้มทางเข้าประตูหอไตรเมื่อมองออกมาจากข้างในหอไตรวัดเชียงยืน ลวดลายปูนปั้นแบบพม่าคล้ายกับที่วัดป่าเป้า The arch gate in front of Hall trai the sculpture very similar style to Papao temple that set next to this temple.
หอไตรวัดเชียงยืน เป็น หอไตรที่รูปทรงแปลกที่สุดเลยค่ะ เป็นรูปแปดเหลี่ยม ประดับด้วยลวดลายปูนปั้นแบบพม่า น่าจะสร้างคราวเดียวกับซุ้มประตูทางเข้านั่นแหละค่ะ จำได้ว่าสิบปีที่แล้วผ่านเส้นทางนี้ประจำ หอไตรนี้ทรุดโทรมมาก เต็มไปด้วยหญ้ารก ทาด้วยสีออกครีมเกือบส้ม หลังคาทำจากกระเบื้องว่าว แบบโบราณค่ะ น่าประทับใจที่ทางวัดบูรณะจนสวยงามและคงสภาพเดิมไว้เกือบหมด เป็นตัวอย่างที่ดีของการบูรณะที่ไม่ทำลายของเดิมแล้วสร้างของใหม่แทนที่ค่ะ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นลายปูนปั้นอะไรต่างๆ เป็นแบบเดิมหมดเลยค่ะ น่าประทับใจจริงๆ ค่ะ จะให้ดีน่าจะจารึกประวัติการบูรณะสักหน่อยนะคะ Hall trai Wat Chiangyuen is a strange shape. It’s an octagon shape decorated with sculpture of burma style. Over ten years ago I very often passed this road and I can remember everything of this Hall. And I’m very impress that they recovered very perfect by restored everything of this old building. All of it just like the roof still use brick roof or in northern we call Wao roof or earthenware roof the shape the sculpture. Everything same.
