R-Ket bus station is the name of the bus station in Chiangmai. R-Ket is the centre of the bus to the other provinces. I suggest you use a toilet from your hotel before coming here. The toilet here very bad and dirtiest in Thailand. They collect your money 3 bath a time. The latest that I used their servie I wasn't dared to use it! They let man and woman use the same toilet! I don't deny about collecting money but I deserve to get the better service too! However it's one of shame thing in our city that I should haven't shown you but I have to tell the true to warn you.
When you come from Bkk. the taxis always come to ask around the passengers suddenly you put the first step on the floor of the R-Ket station so don’t you worry about the vehicle to hotel but you have to know the reasonable price here. It’s up to the kind of vehicle and the way that you want to go.
There are red car taxi parking centre, motorcycle taxi, Took Took etc. inside the R-Ket area ( I don’t know why they allow the taxis parking and waiting for a customer but not allow the passenger’s car parking inside! So why there is a lot of parking lots service around the station, 2 car parking lots service that offer you 24 hrs. but left and right of the station but the right(set west of the station) it’s better service with roof and motorcycle service come to see you off at the R-Ket station(it’s around 100 m. to the station) charge the left shorter(you can walk cross the road to the station and it’s set east of the station but no roof) same price(40 bt a day)if you don’t want to take a taxi when you come back you better parking the car near the station. There are a lot of motorcycle parking lot and charge at 20 bt a day. All parking service don’t respond about loosing vehicle.
